Oxidant, as mentioned above, is the same as hydrogen/developer/hydrogen peroxide/developer/activator/peroxide. These names always refer to the same product. It's a developer that's needed to mix with the hair dye. The developer isn't included in the purchase price of the dye. Developers are available in various strengths: 1.5%, 3%, 6%, 9%, and 12%. To use Dandy hair dye effectively, it's best to use 3%. 6% is also possible if you have it in stock. The brand of developer doesn't matter; they're all the same.

How to use it – how to use it

1. Preparation: Wear gloves. Leave hair dry and unwashed.
2. Mixing: Mix 1 part colour cream with 1 part oxidant 10 Vol. (3%).
3. Application: Distribute evenly from the roots, then distribute over the lengths and ends.
4. Development: Leave on for 5–10 minutes. Longer = more intense shade.
5. Rinsing: Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear. Gently cleanse and treat as desired.
6. Aftercare: Use color preserving shampoo/conditioner for longer color retention.
7. Repeat: In case of regrowth, only treat the roots (same processing time).
8. Safety: Perform an allergy test 48 hours before use. Do not use on eyelashes or eyebrows.
